Sorsasaari hosts different 12-step self-help groups, namely Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon ja Adult Childred Of Alcoholics. Currently there are no english speking groups but you are welcome to participate in the finnish meetings. We can then see what can be done. The meetings take place on the following days.

Sponsorship is available for newcomers. All groups operate on the model started in America as where the newcomer gets (if he or she wants) an older member to introduce the 12 steps used in the program.
There is a starterpack made by AA Great Britain. It can be downloaded here. It contains 5 pdf prochures for an AA newcomer to easily judge whether AA is for you and more interesting reading. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the files. Get it here.
